Okay guys, wanna share your recipes for mulled wine? I was searching online for a nice one from Germany (we call it Gluehwein - glowing wine) because this stuff is famous at our Christmas Markets. But found sooo many different ones, I asked my mom how she used to make hers:

1 bottle of red wine (not the too cheap stuff! - one you like to drink, too)
1 or 2 large (or 2-4 small) oranges, juiced
1 (or 2) cinnamon sticks

She told me to pour the wine into a pot and add the cinnamon stick(s), close the lid and let it stand for a few hours. Then add the fresh orange juice and heat slowly; don't cook.

Darn, I forgot to mention the sugar! Add 1-3 tablespoons of sugar, of course!

I just did the recipe, took 2 small oranges and juiced them. Then I sliced one organic orange and one organic lemon and added that to the wine, too. Took three cinnamon sticks (my weren't exactly new ones, didn't even smell like cinnamon anymore so I took more), added three tablespoons of sugar and voilá, I got a really decent mulled wine!

Gotta admit I'm not much of a wine drinker. I'm more of a beer guy and margarita guy

I only did it once this season, it's just too much for one person, I'm not into drinking much these days anymore, I'm through after one beer already! It also wasn't cold enough for mulled wine this winter so far, and I missed out on the Christmas market, too.
