‘Hemingway’s Whiskey’ to Top Album Sales Chart

The new album from Kenny Chesney, Hemingway’s Whiskey, should have no problem topping the Billboard 200 albums chart this week according to Hits Daily Double:

Fueled by single “Boys of Fall,” the new Chesney album looks on pace for about 180-200,000 first week sales. That figure is according to the Hits Daily Double forecast, which is based on first-day sales extensions. No other new release will even contend with that tally.

Also debuting will be Lil’ Wayne’s digital release “I Am Not a Human Being,” which looks good for just under 100,000 units. Weezy’s release will top Gucci Mane’s “The Appeal” (60-65,000), Eric Clapton’s “Clapton” (45-50,000) and Jimmy Eat World’s “Invented” (40-45,000).

Chesney Joining Brooks & Dunn at Final Show Tonight?

We’ve heard a rumor that Kenny Chesney might make a surprise appearance tonight in Nashville at the Brooks & Dunn concert. It’s the duo’s final show in their storied career. A few others are rumored to be at the Bridgestone Arena show too, including Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson.

In May, Kenny performed “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone” at the Brooks & Dunn Tribute in Las Vegas. Watch video of the performance here.

Update – Kenny did not show up for the show, though Reba did. Apparently even the venue had bad information. Some of our followers suggested Kenny may have been at the Saints – Titans preseason NFL game at LP Field in Nashville, but we don’t know for sure.

What He Loves About Sundays

An extra feature in Parade’s online article on Chesney today includes what his Sundays are like:

I look forward to my pancakes. I love sundays, because I’m usually on a really strict diet, and my trainer, Daniel, gives me Sundays to eat whatever I want—even if it’s a chocolate-covered cheeseburger. Sometimes I get to go home to east Tennessee to see my family and everybody. I’m off the road this year, but usually on Sunday mornings I’m getting off the bus because I’ve been gone all weekend. I’m getting all my dirty clothes off the bus. I’ve always been laundry-conscious because my mom was a single mom who worked, and if I didn’t do my own laundry, it wouldn’t get done. In the fall, I’m glued to the television watching football. Even if I am on the road, I’ve got two big-screen TVs in my bus with different satellite receivers so I can have two games on at once.
