As of Dec. 3, Kenny has sold nearly 275,000 concert tickets, more tickets for the first eight available concerts than any of his previous tour’s initial sales.

“I wish it was happening right now … I’m so ready for it,” Kenny tells KIKN. “I’m really excited to say that I’m going out on the road next summer with my buddy. It’s really hard for me to believe, because Tim and I have been friends a long time. We’ve made a lot of music together and made a lot of memories together. He’s one of my best friends in the business and outside the business.”

With several shows approaching sold-out status, and 12 concerts sill set to go on sale, Kenny is poised to match his last eight consecutive tours with more than a million tickets sold.

Both shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 16th at 10am. That means that the Fan Club presale will likely be earlier that week.

Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts are three of the many acts set to perform at the MGM Grand for the iHeartRadio music festival this fall.

Their performances will stream live online, on mobile devices and through radio station websites. The event’s sponsors have dubbed it “the biggest live music event in radio history.” The concert will coincide with the release of the new iHeartRadio app which allows users digital/streaming access to radio programming.

Developers boast that the new app will raise the bar for digital radio:

“The New iHeartRadio will offer users a much broader, more integrated and customized digital listening experience than any other service available — and it’s all in one product,” they say in a statement.

The iHeartRadio festival, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, takes place September 23 and 24 in Las Vegas.

Chesney is slated to perform on Saturday, the 24th.

It will be one of the final events for Roberts Stadium as a new arena is being built in Evansville.

The country superstar scored the highest-grossing tour last week, according to Billboard, bringing in more than $6.5 million in revenue. His impressive earnings top No. 2 ranked Lady Gaga by almost $1 million. The Allman Brothers Band came in third, with more than $3.5 million. Neil Young places a distant fourth, with just over $680,000, and Widespread Panic came in fifth, earning just slightly less than Neil.

Kenny’s soaring income for last week is due in part to performing the second of his nine stadium shows schedule. ‘The Boys of Fall’ singer performed at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on April 16, raking in more than $4 million for the show. The Zac Brown Band, Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker all joined him for the night, entertaining the crowd of 46,551 fans.

These exclusive tickets are limited in quantity so you will need to get in early to the presales to purchase them.

Members who purchase through the Fan Club presales also will have a chance to be upgraded to the sand bar when purchasing any non-sand bar tickets. Members must sign up for the upgrade here to be entered. You will not be automatically entered as with previous sand bar upgrades.
