Chesney Appears on Good Morning America

Kenny Chesney made a brief appearance on Good Morning America this morning (watch below) but he did not make any announcements as No Shoes Radio suggested he would.

Chesney discussed the ABC special with Robin Roberts (airs tonight at 9pm CT), the CMA Awards and his performance of “You and Tequila” with Grace Potter.

There was no discussion of his 2012 tour that in the last couple days has been rumored to be a co-headlining bill with Tim McGraw.

Chesney Appearing on Good Morning America Tuesday

No Shoes Radio reports that Kenny Chesney will appear Tuesday at the Bridgestone Arena plaza in downtown Nashville for “Good Morning America.” Brad Paisley will perform during the broadcast.

Update – No Shoes Radio first reported that Kenny would perform, but tonight issued this correction:

UPDATE on the Tuesday morning GMA broadcast — Brad Paisley will be performing in concert, but KC will be there making a very special appearance (you’ll find out why on the show!). Just passing along that KC won’t actually be performing, but good times for sure!

Chesney is nominated for three CMA awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year. He’ll also perform “You and Tequila” with Grace Potter. Be sure to tune in!

Those of you that watched the Today Show this morning looking for Kenny Chesney were disappointed, as it was erroneously reported that he’d be performing. Instead, according to your TV guide, he’ll perform tomorrow (Friday, the 9th).

The 2011 CMT Music Awards, hosted by Kid Rock, air tonight live from Nashville at 8 pm ET. Kenny Chesney is nominated for two awards, including the top honor: Video of the Year.

Chesney Misses Out on Lone Award at CMA’s

The 44th annual CMA Awards were held Wednesday night in Nashville and after taking the year off from major touring, Kenny Chesney was only up for one award: Musical Event of the Year. The trophy ended up going to Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins for “Hillbilly Bone.”

Halfway through the show Kenny did a great rendition of “The Boys of Fall.” How did you like it?
