The official Kenny Chesney YouTube channel has a video up of Kenny performing “I Go Back” at the Exit Inn in Nashville, TN on March 9th. The show was part of Kenny’s annual Keg In The Closet Tour.

Radio talk show hosts Big D and Bubba have some photos up on their site of an interview that they did with Kenny Chesney on his boat in Key West before the Keg show on Saturday, March 14th. The last photo is at the concert and shows Kenny with New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, and NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

The Keg In The Closet Tour continued Wednesday afternoon at the Spinnaker Beach Club in Panama City, Florida as Kenny Chesney played a show for thousands of swimsuit-clad spring breakers:

Take white sand beaches cluttered with sun-hungry college students, throw in a country mega-star and you’ve got yourself spring break in the Florida Panhandle. A man of his word, Kenny Chesney delivered on the promise he made one year ago and returned to Spinnaker Beach Club on Wednesday afternoon (March 11) for an all-out performance.

Spinnaker’s beachside deck played host to Chesney’s thousands of swimsuit-clad fans. The free-of-charge outdoor bonanza began at 3:30 p.m. and lasted about three hours.

Even though Chesney and his band have a 69-song set list to choose from, only the first three songs are planned. “From there, anything goes,” said Chesney’s soundboard operator.

Rolling out one spring break theme song after another — “Beer in Mexico,” “Living in Fast Forward,” “Keg in the Closet” — you start to get the feeling that those songs were intended to be performed beachside.

“We played here last year, and we’ve been waiting for this show again for one solid year,” Chesney told the audience. “Last year, we played until it was almost dark, and this year, we’re gonna play until it’s dark again!”

The Keg tour continues Saturday at Sloppy Joes in Key West.

Kenny Chesney is taking a break from his rehearsals for the upcoming Sun City Carnival tour and playing small shows at college bars around the southeast. It’s become an annual event, dubbed the Keg In The Closet Tour, and Chesney has already played two of the shows and two more have been announced.

Last Saturday Chesney played the Jupiter Bar & Grill in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and then played a four hour show at the Exit Inn in Nashville on Monday night for 200 people. CMT.com has an article on the Exit Inn show here. It mentions that Brad Paisley joined Chesney on stage during the show.

“There’s nothing like the fun of Keg,” Chesney explains. “No set list. No stop time. No big deal production. Just me, the guys and every song we know… though beyond a few of our hits, you never really know what we’re gonna pull out: Tom Petty, U2, Soundgarden, David Allen Coe, some stuff we might figure out on the fly! Falling through space is a great thing when you’ve been rehearsing the way we have… and it’s fun, which is why we all started playing music in the first place.”
