SiriusXM will broadcast tonight’s hurricane relief concert:

Sometimes when bad things happen, good people come together to do great things. First responders acted swiftly to aid those injured during this terrible hurricane season and supported those who lost so much. Now, music’s superstars are joining in to raise money for 2017 Hurricane victims with the Trying to Reason Hurricane Relief Benefit Concert, taking place Sunday, Nov. 19 in Tallahassee, Florida.

In this one-of-a-kind live performance, Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, and The Coral Reefer Band will hit the stage alongside special guest Jake Owen as well as opening act Caroline Jones.

This historic event sold out in 11 minutes, making it the fastest sell-out in Tucker Civic Center’s history. So, if you weren’t able to snag a pair of tickets, fear not! You can still hear the performance LIVE on SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville (Ch. 24) and No Shoes Radio (Ch. 57) starting 7:45 pm ET/4:45 pm PT.

Chesney Helps 100 Dogs Find New Homes after Hurricanes

Kenny Chesney is helping dozens of dogs find new homes after hurricanes ravaged the Virgin Islands:

It was a very Floridian welcome when dozens of soon-to-be adopted dogs arrived Thursday evening to Palm Beach International airport from the U.S. Virgin Islands. Rain showers poured around 5:45 p.m., soaking volunteers and the media as they welcomed the lovey bunch.

But a little rain is nothing to these animals. They survived two major hurricanes, Irma and Maria, this year.

This was the first group of a total of 100 dogs that were rescued by Big Dog Ranch Rescue (BDRR) along with Victory Air, country music star Kenny Chesney’s “Love for Love City,” whose home in the St. Johns was destroyed this hurricane season.

These dogs were homeless, abandoned or stranded on the islands after the two hurricanes wiped out most of the infrastructures. Most human families were evacuated and could only bring themselves, leaving their pets behind.

“Our pets are like our family and right now our family is hurting, said Laureen Simmmons, founder and President of Big Dog Ranch Rescue. “It’s a struggle for people to survive the conditions and nearly impossible for our dogs and cats so we are working with several groups to do the most we can to sustain life during this difficult time.”

The dogs were then to be transported to their designated shelters in Virginia, South Carolina, Orlando and Palm Beach County. They’re looking for forever homes.

Chesney Notches Billboard Number One Album

Kenny Chesney has landed his eighth number one album with Live in No Shoes Nation:

Kenny Chesney became the first artist to land a live album atop the Billboard 200 in seven years as the country singer’s all-star live LP Live in No Shoes Nation debuted at Number One.

Live in No Shoes Nation sold 219,000 copies in its first week of availability, with the bulk of that total coming from a deal that coupled tickets to Chesney’s 2018 stadium tour with a free copy of the live album. However, the sales only apply to fans that redeemed a code to acquire the live album, which only a fraction of the million-plus ticket buyers did, Billboard estimates.

By finishing in the top spot, Chesney now has eight Number One albums in his catalog, only one behind Garth Brooks’ record among country artists for most chart-topping albums.

Live in No Shoes Nation is the first live album since the Hope for Haiti Now compilation in 2010 to rule the Billboard 200, and the highest-selling live album since Paul McCartney’s Back in the U.S. Live 2002 debuted with 224,000 copies 15 years ago.
