Kenny Chesney played two shows over the weekend at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts to wrap the 2016 Spread the Love Tour.

Kenny Chesney brought his Spread The Love Tour to a close with 121,399 fans in Boston this weekend. One special fan got the spotlight as the superstar brought her onstage during a series of mashups.

After performing a mash-up of the Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker” and Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds,” Chesney brought a young woman named Kelly Swanson onstage. As he finished the song Chesney removed her baseball hat, revealing a bald head. He then took off his own cowboy hat and rubbed his head against hers. While he hugged her he sang, “Every little thing’s gonna be alright.” A poignant moment for the two and the audience who watched along, Chesney’s shows continue to be powerful ones.

“This night in Foxborough and the past 48 hours, I just wanna say one thing: shut the door, best night of our touring life ever! Cheers everybody,” the “Setting the World On Fire” singer said after the second show in Massachusetts.

Chesney extended his performance on his second of two shows with a cover of the Eagles’ “Take It Easy” with Old Dominion. Later, Miranda Lambert assisted on “You and Tequila” as well as a cover of George Strait’s “The Fireman.”

“This is why we do this,” Chesney said. “This right here. To play for people who love music so much, who commit so completely to what’s in these songs, who scream and shout and cheer like these fans! When you can find fans like that, you wanna do even better than you think possible … and with the No Shoes Nation, who we named right here, it really does inspire us to reach for new heights, possibilities.”
