Kenny Chesney will head to New York City in July for the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series.
Some of country music’s biggest stars will take part in Good Morning America‘s 2016 summer concert series. The TV morning show’s annual concerts will, in 2016, feature a plethora of acts from all different genres — but the most exciting part, for country fans at least, is the four country superstars who are in the mix.
After GMA‘s summer concerts begin on May 20 with pop singer Ariana Grande, Brad Paisley will be the first country singer to perform as part of the weekly series, which takes place every Friday during the summer months. Paisley’s performance is scheduled for June 24, with Kenny Chesney (July 8), Keith Urban (August 12) and Jason Aldean (August 26) also slated to appear.
The year 2016 marks GMA‘s summer concerts’ eighth year at Rumsey Playfield in New York City’s Central Park. The event will also feature artists such as Demi Lovato, Pitbull, Sia, Iggy Azalea and more. For further information on tickets, show times and more, visit ABC News.
Billboard has released their list of the highest paid musicians of 2015 and Kenny Chesney comes in at #2 with $39.8 million.
Of 40 musicians calculated by Billboard, eight are country artists — nine if you include Taylor Swift. While Swift ranks No. 1 as the overall top earner of 2015, Kenny Chesney comes in second place, with Luke Bryan rounding out the Top 10 country earners in the seventh position.
Meanwhile, Shania Twain, Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line rank Top 20, and Brad Paisley and Toby Keith fall in the Top 30 as highest earners. A complete breakdown is below.
Swift brought in $73.5 million in revenue last year thanks to her ever successful 1989 World Tour. Chesney earned $39.8 million last year after taking a hiatus from the road in 2014. The majority of his income, $38.1 million, came from playing for his adoring No Shoes Nation of fans.

Kenny Chesney is out with his new music video for his latest single “Noise”:
(If the video doesn’t play above, you can watch it here)
The “Noise” video opens with Chesney singing in the foreground while multiple images — including pictures of Kourtney Kardashian, Donald Trump, runway models, plastic surgery, cartoons and much more — rapidly flash across the screen behind him. “It ain’t nothing but noise,” Chesney repeats throughout the song.
“We had snake handlers, fashion shows, talking-head newscasters, type falling into words, clocks sweeping, Richard Nixon, Botox, wrecking balls, vintage things, a Kardashian, all building to that crescendo [leading up to the end of the video],” Chesney, 48, explains. “For me, it was easy: Get in front of the green screen and try to bring that emotion to the performance.”
