Kenny Chesney has been on the road with The Big Revival Tour for two weeks now, and he’s already played eight shows, including Saturday night’s performance at the Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. has a review of the show:

Kenny Chesney was only four songs into his performance but his shirt was already soaked with sweat, and with the Atlantic Ocean about 100 feet away he couldn’t possibly have been more in his element.

“Did I tell you we’ve missed you?” Chesney said Saturday night at the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale.

Chesney took last year off from touring to recharge his batteries, but is back with a tour called The Big Revival. There was quite a video production moment before Chesney hit the stage, with a psychedelic bus appearing on the video screen, followed by several beach images, apparently from Jamaica.

A Rastafarian and a pirate then blurted “welcome to the show,” as did Willie Nelson, Vince Vaughn, Dick Vitale, John Gruden and others — before a video cut to Chesney on the beach, holding a Corona, of course.

Chesney, he of 26 No. 1s on the country charts, opened with “Drink It Up,” darting across the stage so fast, the four big video screens on stage showed his backside as much as his front. Next came “Reality” and “Beer in Mexico,” and with that he was on his way. The crowd was his.
