Kenny Chesney has added another act to his stadium shows in 2015: Old Dominion.

Old Dominion say that when they began opening for Chase Rice this fall, they had to quickly eliminate any valleys from their up-and down set. Next summer, when they play stadiums as a featured act on Kenny Chesney‘s the Big Revival Tour, the five-piece independent band will need to raise the peaks even higher.

They’re ready for it. The ‘Shut Me Up’ singers have long been simmering as country up-and-comers. 2014 brought some success with airplay on SiriusXM and Spotify. All five men are also accomplished songwriters, so they straddle both sides of the streaming debate.

“Yeah, there’s a lot of people out there, like a lot of people out there that wouldn’t know our music if it wasn’t for Spotify,” singer Matthew Ramsey tells Taste of Country as his bandmates nod in agreement.

“If you listen to these interviews with a lot of big artists, they kind of give in to the fact that yeah, if you need to be discovered it’s a huge tool,” bassist Geoff Sprung adds.
