Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean will have some company for their 10 stadium shows next summer: up-and-comer Brantley Gilbert.
“When you co-headline a tour with Jason Aldean, you’ve gotta get someone who can hold their own to go in front,” Chesney says in a release. “When I looked around, for those stadium shows that Brantley’s part of, he’s the man for the job. He knows how to reach the crowd, how to make them rock — and he’s not afraid to push the rest of us.”
Gilbert is known for not just his No. 1 hits, but also the songs he’s written for others. It’s clear he and Aldean have musical compatibility, since Gilbert co-wrote ‘Dirt Road Anthem’ as well as ‘My Kind of Party.’ Chesney says that’s the type of music he looks for in a live show, which is yet another reason he added Gilbert to the bill.
“As a fan, when I go to a show, I want the music to hit me in the chest and make me feel something all night long,” the star explains. “I want to have the time of my life, for the fans to hit every possible emotion — and make me feel everything humanly possible. When we started looking at acts to take out in 2015, especially having been off the road this year, I wanted to make sure the people that I brought were gonna be as committed to reaching the fans in the back of the stadium as I am.”
Kenny Chesney is teaming up with Jason Aldean in 2015 for 10 shows at football and baseball stadiums around the country.
“We’ve played so many of these stadiums so many summers, I know just how hard the fans coming out can rock,” Chesney says. “There aren’t a lot of guys out there who can hit it the way Jason does, so I’m glad we’re able to bring both of our tours together for 10 nights this summer. I know what me and the guys are bringing in terms of music, and I know Jason can hang with us!”
“Kenny is the guy everybody in country music looks up to when they think about workin’ hard, building your career out on the road and getting to eventually play stadiums,” added Aldean. “When we first started dipping our toe into that business a few years ago, he’s the guy I would call or text for advice. We have a real friendship. Don’t get me wrong…that doesn’t mean I’m going to make it easy to follow me every night…he’s gonna have to work for it harder than he ever has before!”

This morning on Good Morning America, Kenny Chesney announced that he’ll head back out on the road in March 2015 for The Big Revival Tour.
Now Chesney returns to where he draws inspiration, energy and a reason to believe in the power of music: his 2015 tour! The man The Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” mixes it up playing arenas, amphitheaters and stadiums. He kicks off on March 26, his birthday in Nashville — and also teams with presenting sponsor Corona Light to do it.
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate,” Chesney, who confirmed he’s bringing The Big Revival Tour to America today on ABC’s Good Morning America, says. “I’ve been ready to get out there for a long time. Now that we’re announced I’m fired up! This new music brings a new energy to the show, and it’s gonna take what we do to a whole other level.”
“We’re going to be mixing up the line-up, too: different markets will have different acts playing with us. A few will be on all the stadium shows, some doing pieces – but I promise everybody who’s coming out rocks hard, and understands turning a crowd on.”
“This is really about us and the fans… the fact that every year, so many people make their summer about coming to see us. I’ve missed that sense of community and that passion for the music. There’s gonna be some stuff from the new record and songs people haven’t heard in a while. There’s gonna be a whole lot of music and some surprises…
“I didn’t know if I could take the music as far as we were able with the album. That’s the beauty of giving things time to be what they’re meant to. We’re already working on next year’s video. I’ve seen the stage – and the lights. As the set list comes together, and we start locking down rehearsals, this is gonna be a wild night. I hope the fans are ready.”
“Because of the number of artists we’re pulling into this tour, the roll out is a little trickier, but I think it’s going to be worth the wait and the finding out. Rather than locking in one thing, I wanted to make each market the best it could be. People will be fired up when they see who’s playing where. That means, there’s more news to come… A lot of our favorite cities are on the list, so are some places we’ve never been. Get ready!”
Stay tuned for dates!
Kenny Chesney has added a second country music festival to his 2015 tour schedule: the Florida Country Superfest in Jacksonville.

Over at RollingStone.com you can watch an intimate performance of “Til It’s Gone” off the new album The Big Revival.
Those who couldn’t make it to the Georgia Theatre concert can still catch a glimpse of the show by checking out this live, unreleased clip of “‘Til It’s Gone,” making its premiere exclusively on Rolling Stone Country. Filmed toward the end of the night, it’s an intimate, no-frills performance, with Chesney and his seven-piece band playing their newest single on a stage that’s pretty much free of the lights, Jumbotrons and high-tech gadgets that’ve become staples of his 50,000-seat stadium shows.
Although he didn’t write the song — that role went to Rodney Clawson, David Lee Murphy and Jimmy Yeary — Chesney has a strong personal attachment to “‘Til It’s Gone,” a seize-the-day anthem about making the most of your time with a loved one. He also views it as a tribute to his own fan base, the “No Shoes Nation,” whose support helped send the album’s previous single, “American Kids,” to the top of the charts. (Clawson co-wrote that one, too.)
“This is a song about hanging on right where you are with someone you love,” Chesney says of “Til It’s Gone,” “be it a good buddy, a lover, or in my case, the No Shoes Nation, who’ve been here since it was me and a buncha guys in an old Silver Eagle tour bus. The idea is: be where you are, and embrace the hell out of it. When you do that, amazing things happen.”

Kenny Chesney’s first show of 2015 has been announced, and it’ll be a big one.
Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts will headline the Buckeye Country Superfest, a two-day concert set for June 20-21 in the stadium.
Show producer Quint Davis, whose Louisiana-based Festival Productions, Inc., has staged similar country festivals in Baton Rouge, La., and Jacksonville, Fla., scoured a “who’s-who of American stadiums” in search of a third location.
Buoyed by the Shoe’s location and in-house production team, “we ended up here.”
The Columbus show, with reserved seating on the field and the stands, can accommodate 60,000 fans per day. RV camping will be offered – as will sales of beer and liquor.
Kenny Chesney will perform at the festival on Sunday, June 21st, following Keith Urban, Cole Swindell, David Nail, and Parmalee. See the full lineup here.
Buckeye Country Superfest tickets, at $40 to $250, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 14 through Ticketmaster.
Pre-Sale Tickets will go onsale Wednesday, 10/8 @ 10 AM Local time to the Kenny Chesney Fan Club.
