Chesney Earns Three CMA Nominations

Nominations were announced Wednesday morning for the 46th annual CMA Awards and Kenny Chesney is on the board with three nominations, including the night’s top honor:

Entertainer of the Year

  • Jason Aldean
  • Kenny Chesney
  • Brad Paisley
  • Blake Shelton
  • Taylor Swift

Musical Event of the Year

  • “Dixie Highway” – Alan Jackson & Zac Brown
  • “Feel Like A Rock Star” – Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw
  • “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die” – Willie Nelson with Snoop Dogg, Kris Kristofferson and Jamey Johnson
  • “Safe & Sound” – Taylor Swift & The Civil Wars
  • “Stuck On You” – Lionel Richie & Darius Rucker

Music Video of the Year

  • “Come Over” – Kenny Chesney
  • “Over You” – Miranda Lambert
  • “Pontoon” – Little Big Town
  • “Red Solo Cup” – Toby Keith
  • “Springsteen” – Eric Church

Eric Church leads all nominees with five nods. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton both received four.

“The 46th Annual CMA Awards” will be hosted for the fifth time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Thursday, Nov. 1 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.
