Chesney Adds Meadowlands Stadium to ’11 Tour

Another stadium show has been added to the 2011 Goin’ Coastal Tour.

Kenny Chesney, along with the Zac Brown Band, will perform August 13th at the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Meadowlands is home to the New York Giants and New York Jets NFL teams.

The show goes on sale December 11th and makes Chesney’s first ever stadium show in the tri-state area.

Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker will also perform for what is being billed as the “Meadowlands Country Music Festival.” The show will be the first major concert at the New Meadowlands.

This is fantastic news! I’ll be flying out for this concert from Seattle (since he’s not coming here this year). I was thinking about Dallas and/or D.C. but I love NYC way more then those two places. Still may consider D.C. but NYC is now #1 on the list, will have to get tickets! Might have to just wait for Hard Rock Las Vegas instead of D.C. too… the shows there this past year were great.

Giant Stadium is not in NYC, It’s East Rutherford NJ.

More tour dates are coming. He’s going to play around 60 shows next year
