According to a couple of articles, Kenny Chesney is on the short list of acts being considered for the half time show at the 2011 Super Bowl in Dallas.

There’s talk that Tim [McGraw] might be a strong candidate for the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show next year. In the wake of this year’s performance by The Who, Fox executives are leaning away from a classic-rock act. According to USA Today, six artists have been floated thus far as possibilities for the 2011 show and four of them are country: Tim, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn and Garth Brooks. The two other targets have had country hits: Jimmy Buffett and Bon Jovi.

After this year’s Super Bowl, a grassroots effort to get Chesney as next year’s half time entertainer sprung up on the internet. There’s a Facebook group with over 5,000 members – Kenny Chesney for Superbowl 2011.

The 2011 Super Bowl will be held at the new Cowboys Stadium in Dallas on Sunday, February 6th.

Being that it is in Dallas, it should be a country act more like Kenny or Tim.
Kix and Ronnie will be retired and Garth is still somewhat retired.
I think Kenny or Tim or both………jmho

Who knows how to rock a stadium better than Kenny? He’s the master of stadiums. Kenny and Jimmy together would be fun too. Maybe they could write a superbowl song together.
