Kenny Chesney Live Concert in Dolby 3D Next April

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that a chain of movie theaters in Texas will be showing a live Kenny Chesney concert in Dolby 3D on April 21st of next year:

Studio Movie Grill owner and founder Brian Schultz says the chain is exploring plans to show college and professional football and live concerts, with one already booked – an appearance by Kenny Chesney in Dolby 3D on April 21.

Schultz held out for a better version of 3-D, he says, because he never felt that conventional 3-D came close to “the immersive experience” he hopes to offer.

“Literally, I’ve never seen anything like it,” Schultz says of Dolby 3D. “It is absolutely unbelievable.”

Studio Movie Grill has seven locations in the Dallas and Houston metro areas and will soon expand, with locations in Atlanta and Kansas City, Mo., set to open in 2010.

April 21st is around the time that Chesney’s tour usually starts, so this live 3D concert may be the kickoff for next year’s tour.

I hope they show it other places as the tour goes across the country. It would be a shame to keep something this neat just in Texas.

I wish this could be seen in movie theatres Everywhere and puts this on a dvd
so that everyone can see “Kenny chesney Live Concert” in dolby 3-d so that this will be fair for everyone to see.

We participated in some taping for this movie in Foxboro last Friday. They invited 100 fan club members to come shoot scenes in the parking lot and at a bar in Boston near Fenway. It was awesome……I cannot wait to see if we made it in the movie.

I was there for the filming in Foxboro as well and was chosen for the Bleecher Bar at Fenway scenes. I would love it if the fan club extras were offered a copy of the DVD or even better a chance to be at the premiere whether it be in Texas or not. We gave them our names and numbers so all we need to do now is keep our fingers crossed that we get a phone call I had such a great time, either way it was an experience I will cherish forever.
