No Shoes Radio Launches Today at Noon!

Kenny Chesney’s internet radio station No Shoes Radio launches today at Noon eastern time, 11 am central.

The debut broadcast will be live from Kenny’s tour stop in Orange Beach, Alabama. There will be an interview with Chesney and some songs played.

“People ask me what I do and, obviously, cause of the way I sing and where I come from, I’m a country singer, but really, what I do draws on so much more than that,” Chesney said. “Growing up, I don’t think anybody listened to any one kind of thing – and what I think of as country, well, that’s not really what we do… But then again, II think most of our fans are listening to other stuff, too, whether it’s Dave (Matthews), (Bruce) Springsteen (Tom) Petty or Jackson Browne, not to mention Bob Marley, who I think may be the great equalizer among all kinds of music.”

Drawn largely from Chesney’s iPod, No Shoes Radio will be the focal point for interviews with Chesney, friends, fans and the crew that are part of this year’s Corona Extra sponsored Sun City Carnival.

Hope they are set up at Central Park next week to get my pass!!! Hopefully No Shoes Radio will keep me going until I get to see Kenny in NYC.

No shoes radio started off rough tonight, but got it’s act together later in the AL show. Kenny sounded good but was not in tune until later in the show with band..unless my JD started to kick in. My problem is that I’m a true Kenny fan here in Tampa and I’m holding out to buy tix to his Tampa show Saturday..Problem is he makes a short hop to songs later in his show that are not his. I have a problem with this…He has so many hit songs, that are not radio top 10..that he could play…French Kissin’ Life, Island Boy, Key Lime Pie, Soul of a Sailor, Outta Here, Boats, Key’s in the Conch Shell…and he wastes his time with Joker, and other songs…why should I lay my money down for that…I must have at least 25 of his songs I love he doesn’t play in concert…whatta JIP…Be real Kenny…Be you my man…

No Shoes Radio sounded rough at the start, but first night to try and get it right, so I understand,..1/2 way through the show, the sound started to come together…ended up okay, except for the set list in AL which needs much improvement..You’re better than that Kenny..hope to see you in Tampa, but if that is what you’re going to play…I’ll save my $$$ and listen to my iPod…
