On August 1st Kenny Chesney will bring the Sun City Carnival Tour to Qwest Field in Seattle. But the night before, Chesney will play an intimate one-hour, sandbar-only show:

“Qwest can be a little tricky,” allows the man who was country music’s only representative in Pollstar’s Midyear Tour Rankings Top 10. “We wanna get in there and really blow it up… and I wanna know that we’re able to capture what’s so special about that place, because the ….Seattle…. fans are incredible. So, we figured rather than just coming in and me and the guys doing a soundcheck, we could warm-up with something a little bit more – and start what is normally an all-day experience the night before.”

“We’re always looking for ways to change things up, to give the fans a peak into our world,” Chesney allows. “It just seems like as long as we’re gonna be there, we might as well share it with the people who love our music – and inspire us to rock a little harder, to play a little bit longer. I don’t know if this is crazy, sane or the start of something big, but given how awesome ….Seattle…. has always been for us, it seems like the perfect place to find out!”

As with everything Chesney does, fans should also not be surprised by the presence of hi-def cameras. Having produced three “Roadcase” DVDs, several videos and much of his behind the stage concert footage from captured road images, one never knows where they might end up – though their presence is permission to be used in these mediums.

“Anyone who’s ever been in my house knows, I have pictures everywhere of everyone and everything,” Chesney admits with a shy laugh. “When you close your eyes, you can see all these amazing things that’ve happened, but if you wanna share it with your friends, you need this pictures. All the faces, the places we’ve been… well, I try to not just share it with the people in my life, but the fans who’ve made my life and been such a part of this. Who knows when or how? But I know you can only capture the moment in the moment, so that’s what we’re trying to do…”

As i remember 2 month’s ago, kenny chesney himself came out with this “NO CAMERA POLICY” because he did not want to be videoed at his concert’s. Now kenny is making another change on august 1st,to allow this to take place in seattle at “QWEST FIELD”. How interesting? Why is it that kenny can do the same in other state’s while he goes on his tour dates so that this will be
fair to everyone. Kenny need’s to get video’s and DVD’s made from his concert
tour’s? He has fan’s all over this world. Kenny should be doing this while he
goes on these tour’s every year. And be fair about it for everyone all over this world

Just to clear it up once and for all, fans are NOT allowed to record video. Kenny has his own video crew that has the clearance to record. The same is true for Keg shows cuz he makes the places shut down their web cams, and I’m sure he’s not the only one to do covers with dirty themes.

    Jen,
What does doing covers with ‘dirty themes’ have to do with shutting down a web cam?
Kenny was at Hogs Breath in I think it was 2007 and he had the web cam up. I was there and was told later that the bandwidth or something could not hold all the people watching. This next time when Kenny did Sloppy Joes he had them shut the web cam down. Since my friends works there I believed it when he told me that.

Jen, thanks for the message to let the fans know that no videoing and camera’s
are not allowed to these fan’s. To my comment i thought kenny was being unfair
with this “NO CAMERA POLICY” that he came out with 2 months ago. To me i was
thinking that kenny was going to let the fan’s come in to do the same thing. But you came out with your message now that the fan’s are not allowed with there camera’s or video camera’s. Thank you for coming out with that message
now everyone can have a good time and enjoy kenny chesney’s concert and enoy
themselves. This sound’s like a fair deal to me now and to everyone else i hope. Good luck to kenny chesney on this show he is going to need it. Give it
all you got kenny? I wish you the best of luck on this concert.
