Big news for Nashville’s CMA Music Festival: Kenny Chesney will close out the 4-day event on Sunday at LP Field:
The four-time CMA top entertainer (tied with Garth Brooks for most wins in that category) will be the final performer Sunday night, June 14, at LP Field. The appearance comes during a break from his Sun City Carnival tour between stops in Chicago on Saturday and Somerset, Wis., on June 19.
AdvertisementKenny hasn’t played the CMA Music Festival since 2006, when he appeared as a surprise act. But LP Field is a familiar performance venue for him, which sets him apart from most country performers. Kenny has brought his arena tour there twice: in July 2008 and July 2006, when he became the first musical act in six years to headline a concert at Nashville’s NFL football stadium.
Here are the other acts on Sunday:
- Jack Ingram
- Miranda Lambert
- Montgomery Gentry
- John Rich
- Taylor Swift
- Heidi Newfield
