Those who attended the Kenny Chesney show at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday night were treated to a special show. Julia Currier attended the concert and reports that Kenny played his normal set of 20 songs but then instead of singing the final encore came back out and played 16 more songs!

Here’s the special set that was played after the normal set:

1. Take it Easy (Eagles)
2. Pride and Joy (Stevie Ray Vaughn)
3. The Joker (Steve Miller)
4. Three Little Birds (Bob Marley)
5. With or Without You (U2)
6. You Really Got Me (Kinks)
7. Gimme Three Steps (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
8. Dixieland Delight (Alabama)
9. The Fireman (George Strait)
10. MaryJane’s Last Dance (Tom Petty)
11. Blister in the Sun (Violent Femmes)
12. Ice Cream Man (Van Halen)
13. Why Dont We Get Drunk (Jimmy Buffett)
14. Please Come To Boston (Dave Loggins)
15. SteamRoller (James Taylor)
16. Hurts So Good (John Mellencamp)

Julia also has some great photos from the show. View them as a slideshow or a gallery.

(Great thanks to Julia Currier for the set list and photos, and thanks to Brent Vaughan for adjustments to the set list)

Update I – There are several videos on YouTube from this show. Check them out

Update II – The Las Vegas Sun has a review of the show: “Kenny Chesney brings voice to his Carnival show”

ahhh, how lucky was that crowd? You go mister Chesney :)

WOW! What a show! We have seen Kenny every year since 2001 and this was a special treat indeed! We were so close that he was actually spitting on us while he sang! I am not sure how we will be able to go back to the stadium shows after this!

All I can say is WOW!!! Kenny will be in Houston this week, but it cannot compare to the treat we all got at the Joint Saturday night. I talked to several of the employess and they said Chesney was the first to do more than a two song encore. The variety of talent and range displayed during the encore was unbeleivable. And all that singing followed the already outstanding show by Lady Antebellum, Miranda lambert and Kenny Chesney.

PLEASE REMOVE the think the link to the Las Vegas Sun review!! This idiot & likely gay rights activist, Melissa Arseniuk, isn’t even talking about the show in most of the article. And her innuendoes about the crowd being gay and the Brokeback Mountain-style man hugs and cowboy-on-cowboy dancing are just more of the BS and lies she put in this so-called review.

We were part of the fortunate ones to see his show last Saturday 4/25 at The Joint in Las Vegas. The guy is awesome! Played his heart out. Nothing like seeing him in close confines. Man what a show, and to be able to be right at the stage was pretty cool. Kenny we love u!
