According to the Miami Herald, Kenny Chesney holed up with a female companion (we assume Amy Colley) last weekend at a private luxury resort on Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys:

Chesney loved the island vibe so much, he spoke with the resort’s GM about doing a New Year’s Eve ”concert” for 30 around the fire pit.

Did you try on Saturday morning for tickets to see Kenny Chesney at Gillette Stadium and get shut out? If so, you’re not alone. The show reportedly sold out in less than 10 minutes.

“It’s a little crazy,” said Chesney, “especially with the economy the way it is. But I think people know…and what we’ve always been about, is getting the fans away from their problems for a few hours. We can’t necessarily fix what’s wrong, but we can try to make sure that for a few hours, you forget about it. And in times like these, that’s a pretty big deal for a lotta people ’cause everybody needs a little break.”

Though the show is sold out through TicketMaster, you can still purchase tickets through reseller sites like Stubhub, TicketsNow, or eBay.

All Kenny Wants For Christmas Is…

… not just a real good tan. GAC has a short article on what Kenny asked his mother for Christmast last year:

“My mom hates Christmas,” he told Nashville’s WSIX-FM. “She [really] loves Christmas, but she hates it when it rolls around, because in October, she’ll start callin’ me goin’, ‘What do you want for Christmas? ‘What do I get you for Christmas?’”

Last year’s solution was pretty simple: “I told her last year I wanted canned green beans.”

Or, to be more specific, home-canned green beans.

“That’s somethin’,” he said, “that I don’t have.”
